Job description

Night Shift RN

Our Night Shift RN assists with the care and treatment of patients in the Monastery Infirmary, ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assess medical situations based on evidence to address treatment options.
  • Monitor nursing services to ensure residents' rights and needs are met, as well as review, maintain written record, and promptly report to Health Services Director all resident complaints/grievances.
  • Check vital statistics and related patient data, including liquid intake/output, chart, and weight.
  • Administer oral and topical medications, injections, nasogastric tube, gastrostomy tube medications, change bandages and dress wounds, as well as provide other treatments.
  • Consult with physicians and receive and transcribe physician medical orders.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Ensure patient safety and ensure personnel, residents, and visitors follow established policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
  • Registered Nurse license in State of Indiana
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work as a team and have positive/caring attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move patients.
  • Ability to work every third weekend.
