About the Organization

Founded with a commitment to enhancing mental health care access, Behavioral Health Connections LLC operates as a vital resource in the community. Set in the picturesque region of Killington, Vermont, our organization prioritizes innovative approaches to mental health treatment and emphasizes a collaborative ethos among our diverse team of professionals. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers to mental health care, ensuring that every individual receives the quality support they deserve.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote working environment, allowing flexibility to manage your work-life balance while collaborating with a cohesive team of mental health professionals. The outpatient office setting is structured to ensure clinicians have access to necessary resources and support systems, facilitating high-quality patient care and continuous professional development. Our remote structure fosters a culture of inclusivity, where ideas and feedback thrive, ultimately enhancing the quality of care we provide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to address the diverse needs of clients, ensuring timely and impactful treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy.
  • Document clinical encounters meticulously, including progress notes and treatment reports, within our specified electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, utilizing proven techniques to ensure client safety and stability during critical moments.
  • Provide professional guidance and consultation to multidisciplinary teams, enhancing the quality of care by sharing insights on patient management and mental health assessments.
  • Participate actively in professional development initiatives, contributing to staff meetings and training sessions to share knowledge and enhance team efficacy.
  • Maintain accountability and participate in the Quality Improvement program by documenting and reviewing services rendered.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse population of clients who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex disorders. Your client-centric approach will help foster a supportive therapeutic relationship, addressing individual needs and encouraging recovery while implementing culturally competent care strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold a valid, active independent license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont.
  • Proven track record of at least two years of experience in delivering clinical services and psychotherapy.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, with the ability to apply these effectively based on client needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, effectively managing oneโ€™s schedule and responsibilities in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or individuals with trauma-related disorders would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Prior experience in a telehealth capacity would be advantageous, given the nature of our remote work setting.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time licensed clinical mental health counselor position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • A generous 401(k) plan with employer matching to help secure your financial future.
  • Extensive paid time off, including vacation, personal days, sick leave, and recognized holidays to promote well-being.
