Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments for individuals seeking mental health support, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapies tailored to individual client needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group psychotherapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to address client concerns and promote mental wellness.
• Perform crisis interventions as required, providing immediate support and stabilization to clients in acute distress.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of all clinical services provided, maintaining accurate mental health records in compliance with organizational and professional standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatric staff and care managers, to provide holistic and coordinated care for clients.
• Engage in regular staff meetings and training programs to enhance your skills and stay abreast of best practices in mental health treatment.
• Contribute to the organization’s Quality Improvement program, ensuring accountability for services delivered and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCMHC will primarily serve diverse clients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mood and behavioral disorders. You will be integral in providing support to individuals from varying backgrounds, ensuring that care is culturally competent and respectful of each person’s unique circumstances. Your role will directly influence client outcomes by fostering an environment where they feel safe, understood, and motivated to engage in their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a valid, active independent LCMHC license to practice in Vermont.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, demonstrating proficiency in providing individualized mental health care.
• Strong competency in various therapeutic modalities, showcasing flexibility in approach to meet diverse client needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage a flexible schedule effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in community health settings or within a collaborative care model.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems to enhance service delivery.
• Experience in leading group therapy sessions, demonstrating the ability to engage and motivate multiple clients simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
