Summary: Under minimal supervision, the QC Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, conducting laboratory testing of bulk and finished products in accordance with company procedures to meet customer expectations. Activities will include laboratory testing, data analysis and entry, and special testing to support engineering changes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform Receiving, In-process and Final Product Testing
  • Conduct laboratory testing including hardness, tensile/compression, thermal conductivity, viscosity, density testing, and other specialized testing
  • Release incoming raw materials and finished products
  • Communicate with internal customers regarding quality issues and nonconformances
  • Collect and record Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and prepare associated reports
  • Maintain test records and databases to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements
  • Support Process and Quality Engineers with corrective action activities as required
  • Test Pilot and Scale Up material batches
  • Support the Quality Department's day-to-day activities

REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with either ISO-9001 or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a laboratory testing environment in either Quality Control or Analytical
  • Manage rejected material and assigned MRB activities as required
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good data collection and analysis skills with strong attention to details
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Previous use of SPC programs preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Word
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
