Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. As an RN in our ED, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
  • Provide critical interventions for trauma, cardiac, and other life-threatening emergencies.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold patient safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the State of Illinois (or compact state eligibility).
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Emergency Department or Critical Care preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work night shift
