Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel contract in New Mexico, requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and Epic charting familiarity.

Details
  • 32-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
  • 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule options available
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
  • Rapid response team activation is part of unit operations
  • Epic EMR used for charting (experience preferred)
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating to like units required
  • 6 weekend shifts within every 6-week period
Requirements
  • Active NM or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • BLS certification required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted — candidates must apply individually
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
  • RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
