Job description

Night Shift Registered Nurse

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate registered nurse to join our night shift team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality care to our patients, manage treatment plans, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure each patient's needs are met with excellence and empathy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to determine care needs and document findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
  • Previous experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move patients as necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to handle physical and emotional stress.
Work Schedule
  • Regular schedule is based on patient volume and surgical schedule. Schedule is set by the nursing management prior to shift's start.
