Job description

  • Provide ongoing leadership to warehouse operations and employees to ensure employee safety, quality and delivery performance
  • Coordinate Shipping and Receiving schedules, unscheduled down times and efficient utilization of all team members
  • Improve operating efficiencies, problem resolution, proactivity by entire team
  • Achieve established customer order fill rates
  • Manage the Shipping team for the warehouse
  • Assure accurate on-time shipping and receiving of finished goods, work-in-process, raw materials and waste
  • Track, trace and expedite pick labels and orders to ensure on-time arrival to include the overall support of the warehouse flow of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Ensure timely actions on customer complaints and develop root cause analysis to resolve customer issues.
  • Follow-up with carriers to ensure orders are OTIF (On Time in Full)
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver team feedback constructively
  • Conduct performance evaluations to foster personal growth and enhance team capabilities
  • Enforce warehouse rules, monitor attendance and provide corrective action (discipline) as necessary
  • Review safety guidelines, workplace safety policies, DOT regulations and OSHA requirements with warehouse employees
  • Work with Management team to improve overall efficiencies, reduction in errors, skilled workforce
