Assisted Living – Night Shift Manager 6p-6a

Position: Full-time, night shift with weekend and holiday rotations

Job description:

Valley VNA Assisted Living is seeking a full-time, night shift Manager who works under the direction of our Executive Director of Assisted Living and Independent Living and in consultation with our Registered Nurses. The Shift Manager collaborates with and supervises the night shift Resident Assistants while ensuring the residents’ individual, plan of care, needs are met.

Summary of Duties:

· Facilitates shift report with preceding and oncoming Shift Managers and Resident Assistants to ensure effective communication of resident changes in condition and staff assignments.

· Monitors and supports the daily operations of the shift to ensure care services are provided per plan of care.

· Supervises and assists with resident care including activities of daily living, life enrichment, medication administration, and other assigned tasks as directed by Executive Director and/or RN Care Consultants.

· Communicates and collaborates with Executive Director and RN Care Consultants regarding resident changes in conditions, incidents, or concerns.

· Provides shift supervision and shared leadership with the Resident Assistant team by providing support, direction, guidance to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of previous experience in senior living caregiving preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• CBRF certifications preferred but not required.

• Previous lead or manager experience preferred.
