Position Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for delivering excellent guest service during overnight hours while accurately completing daily financial and audit responsibilities. This role combines front desk operations with accounting duties and requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Front Desk Operations

  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner during overnight hours
  • Perform guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly
  • Handle reservations, room assignments, and rate changes as needed
  • Maintain a secure and calm environment for guests and staff overnight

Night Audit & Accounting Duties

  • Complete nightly audit procedures, ensuring accuracy of daily financial transactions
  • Balance room revenue, food & beverage charges, and other hotel departments
  • Post charges and payments accurately in the property management system
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports for management
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Safety & Security

  • Monitor hotel activity during overnight hours and report any issues
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Secure cash drawers, reports, and sensitive information
