Maintenance Controls Technician - Night Shift
The hourly base rate for this position is $43.40 + $3.00 shift differential
We work a 12-hour shift with a 2,2,3 shift schedule. Great work/life balance!

What You Will Do
The Controls Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the electrical and computer-based control systems that operate machinery on the production line, ensuring smooth operation by identifying and resolving issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other automation components, often working closely with maintenance and production staff to optimize production processes.
How You Will Make an Impact
  • Responsible for the commissioning, diagnosis, calibration, maintenance, and repair of environmental-control systems and processes, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, pH sensors, flow meters, electrical meters, and system control techniques
  • Work with the Maintenance, Controls Engineer, Plant Engineer, and the Facility Engineer to keep all control systems, mechanical and electromechanical field devices operating according to the basis of design
  • Assist maintenance techs troubleshoot electrical controls related process issues
  • Adhere to national electrical codes, NFPA 70E standards, and strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
  • Use Rockwell Automation software, multimeters, and diagnostics to find and fix electrical or control failures.

What You Will Bring
Required
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate or Technical Degree, Certification in Electronics, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logic, HVAC preferred
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's and general instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
