Job description

Job Description:
Are you an experienced team leader who inspires others to excellence? Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your career? Then let your career take off with Alliance Ground International as a Duty Manager! Ideal candidates will have at least three years of ramp agent experience and three years of progressive aviation management experience.
As a Duty Manager you will:
  • Supervise and direct the work of ramp/whse team members as they unload/unload and service aircraft.
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all ramp operations.
  • Assist recruiting team with hiring and provide on-the-job training and ongoing team member professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as point person for customers and management to minimize or eliminate potential delays.
  • Observe and enforce all AGI and Airline safety regulations as well as company policies.
  • Assure that all GSE maintenance procedures are assigned and completed on each shift.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest and log flight information for billing purposes.
  • Actively search for and report to station management any future business opportunities
  • Assist with all ramp/whse team duties (safety walks, baggage/cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.) as needed.

To be a Duty Manager you must:
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
  • Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent.
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check.

As a Duty Manager you must be able to:
  • Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
  • Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
