Ramp Supervisors are responsible for leading flights for the smooth and safe operation of airport ground handling services, ensuring that flights depart and arrive on schedule, and that passengers and cargo are handled efficiently and securely.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervise agents and leads on each shift to ensure all proper procedures are followed in a safe, efficient manner.

  • Mentor and coach agents and leads and conduct on-the-job training.

  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.

  • Transport, load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail.

  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.

  • Operate heavy equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories.

  • Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating and managing the staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage for each flight.

  • Other duties as assigned: Be flexible and willing to perform any other tasks or responsibilities as required by the company to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience

  • Education

  • Certification/licenses (if applicable)

  • Airport Badge/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (23 kg) on a regular basis.

  • Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.

  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.

  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises

Schedule:

Alliance Ground International operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. AGI requires its employees to be able to work flexible schedules which may be adjusted to meet operational demands such as flight delays or cancellations. Applicants must be able to work on weekends, (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays. Strict adherence to company attendance policies is expected and enforced.
