  • The Airport Operations Planning team is the analytical engine that powers workforce & ground service equipment decisions for our airport teams. This highly analytical position leads a diverse team of analysts specializing in manpower modelling, frontline bidding, data collection, and financial forecasting. 
  • Our team works directly with operations leadership & various other departments to ensure the airports are provided with the right resources required to achieve our performance goals.
  • The role is a part of the Airport and Cargo Resource Planning team within our Airport Operations Planning group.
What you'll do

As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced.  Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

  • Lead a team of analysts responsible for developing and implementing frontline union bids
  • Work closely with airport leaders as they make headcount decisions driven by schedule changes, peak demand seasons, flex dates, etc
  • Get to know our airport leaders by spending time in their operation and being able to translate their needs via workforce tools & technology
  • Provide team of analysts with structure, support, and most importantly, care
  • Work collaboratively with other operational, airport, and customer planning groups to understand their staffing needs and constraints
  • Assist other groups within Airport & Cargo Resource Planning with headcount forecasts that represent~$2B of annual expense
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience/training
    • 5+ years of experience in airline operations, finance, network planning, revenue management, or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • Experience with GroundStar Planning or Hyperion financial systems preferred

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    • Superior presentation development & delivery skills
