The following shifts are available:
2nd shift: 3:45pm-11:45pm

??The Security Officer performs security tasks to meet residents,staffand visitors' health and safety needs.This position is specifically employed at the Wauwatosa Campus. Hours may involve night shifts.This position reports to the Security Supervisor.?

Essential Job Functions:

  • Locks and checks all doors on the first eveningtours, andunlocks all required doors on morning tours.
  • ?Monitors security computerterminal, safety alarmsystem, weatherradioandswitchboard.
  • ?Conducts interior and exterior toursto include,doors, parking area, internalalarmand temperature checks.
  • ?Investigates any suspected security concerns when reported by other staff, residents, or visitors and documents those investigations.
  • ?Notifiesappropriate staffand makes physical response toalarms signaled.
  • ?Maintains daily written reports.
  • ?Assures appropriatetimelyresponse to safety inquiries.
  • ?Demonstrates emotional stability under stressful conditions.
  • ?Assistsin the prevention of workplace altercations as needed.
  • ?Shows the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
  • ?Follows Luther Manor Policy and Procedures, setting an example for other staff.
