What is a night runner?

Night Runners are individuals who typically perform running or courier tasks during nighttime hours. Their responsibilities may include delivering packages, documents, or working as part of a security or logistics team after regular business hours. Night Runners are often employed by courier services, event companies, or organizations that require urgent deliveries or errands during the night. This role may require physical stamina, time management, and the ability to work independently in low-light conditions.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a night runner?

To thrive as a Night Runner (such as a courier or delivery driver working night shifts), you need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and strong knowledge of local routes. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, delivery management apps, and basic vehicle maintenance is typically required. Reliability, time-management, and the ability to work independently in low-supervision environments are important soft skills. These skills ensure timely, accurate deliveries and support safety during nighttime hours when challenges can be greater.

What challenges do night runners face and how can they be managed?

Night Runners often work overnight hours, which can present challenges such as fatigue, maintaining alertness, and adjusting to a nocturnal schedule. Managing these challenges involves establishing a consistent sleep routine during the day, staying hydrated, and taking regular breaks during shifts. Additionally, effective communication with team members and supervisors is crucial since staffing levels may be lower at night, requiring strong self-motivation and adaptability. Employers typically provide safety protocols and support to help Night Runners perform effectively during these hours.

Security Guards have broader roles across various settings, working day or night, with similar licensing requirements. Both roles are essential for safety and security, but Night Runners usually operate exclusively during night hours in specific industries.

This is more than a job — it’s your opportunity to be part of one of Broadway’s most exciting new destinations. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, and want to be part of something big, Kane Brown’s on Broadway is where you belong.
POSITION SUMMARY
Food Runners are responsible for the accurate and efficient delivery of food from kitchen to guest. They ensure every plate is presented as intended—hot, clean, and correct—and that service moves in rhythm with the kitchen. This role requires organization, urgency, and attention to detail. Runners are expected to uphold Kane Brown’s service standards and support the entire floor and kitchen team throughout service.

• Anticipate needs to keep service flow steady and uninterrupted.
Communication
• Announce dishes clearly when leaving the kitchen.
• Relay guest feedback, dietary notes, or timing adjustments promptly.
• Maintain open communication between the kitchen, expo, and dining room teams.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service area throughout the shift.
• Support end-of-shift breakdown and restocking for the following service.
Team Support

• Maintain professionalism, composure, and pace during high-volume service.
• Actively contribute to a cooperative and disciplined team environment.
Expectations
• All food is delivered hot, accurately, and properly presented.
• Stations remain organized and fully stocked.
• Communication is clear, direct, and professional.
• The runner moves with urgency, purpose, and composure.

• Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Ability to carry and deliver multiple plates or trays safely and efficiently.
