Job description

Title: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Shift: 12 hr. Night Shift | 7AM- 7PM | 2-2-3
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $30–$40/hr shift differential

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support day-to-day operations of production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting production upgrades, and driving reliability improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience in PLCs, automation systems, and industrial equipment.

Job Duties:
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment issues
• Support production teams with equipment reliability improvements and technical problem-solving
• Assist with equipment rebuilds, upgrades, and implementation of new technologies
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and interpret ladder logic through laptop interfaces
• Maintain and troubleshoot variable frequency drives, electrical controls, and pneumatic systems
• Successfully transfer electronic files to PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motor drives
• Support predictive maintenance initiatives and recommend reliability improvements
• Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and capital project initiatives

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience preferred
• Broad experience with electrical and mechanical systems required
• Experience with PLCs, pneumatic conveying systems, HVAC, air compressors, assembly equipment, and industrial controls
• PLC programming experience is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
