MATERIAL HANDLER

Our Staunton, VA facility to looking for a Material Handler for Cutting department. This position will be responsible for maintaining product flow from the printing department to the die cutting department.

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

  • Check load tags and job jackets
  • Check condition of material
  • Removes product from printing department in an organized fashion
  • Places product in die cutting staging area in an organized fashion
  • Operates the aerator to prepare loads for die cutting.
  • Operation/maintenance of forklift trucks and pallet jacks
  • Ensure that prescribed safety measures are followed
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Maintain product flow from the cutting department to the finishing department

Required Skills

Ideally the individual that would be a strong fit for this position would have some of the following knowledge/skills and abilities;

  • Proficient in reading required paperwork
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, occupational hazards and related safety precautions in the work
  • Operate an electrical and manual pallet jack

An individual in this position must be able to learn and demonstrate the following skills;
