General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds – 14-22
  • Number of Staff – dependent on acuity and census
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – cnc / 4-6 nurses prefer cnc free, unit secretary,
    • Night Shift - cnc / 4-6 nurses prefer cnc free,
  • Patient Ratios – med/surg 4/1
  • Type of equipment –
  • EMR - meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set

Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • bls
  • pals

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • acls

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

  • Cleft palate repair, appy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures,
  • Seizure management, noninvasive cardiology only, no neurosurgery or stroke, no removal foreign body from airway
  • Currently have services for neuro, ortho, gen surg, thoracic cases such as thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, pectus bar implants.

Required certifications:

  • Bls, pals

Floating area(s):

  • NICU level 1 or 2 only

Dress code:

Scrub color/attire - royal blue

Unit guidelines/policies:

Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

Weekends and on call (if any):

4 weekend days every 4 weeks.
