Data Entry โ€“ Floating

Hudson County, NJ

Tristate HRH Lab Management is seeking a detail-oriented and highly dependable full- and part-time Floating Data Entry to support high-volume ancillary operations and provide front-line service to our outpatient practices, physicians, and clinical partners. This hybrid role combines patient sample integrity review, pre- and post-analytical support across the EMR (electronic medical record), coding, and documentation for revenue cycle management, venipuncture, specimen processing, accessioning, and workflow coordination, with periodic field support. A significant amount of time will be spent on data verification and data entry.

  • 2PM - 10PM
  • Night shifts and Saturdays preferred
  • May include days, evenings, weekends, and/or rotational holidays
  • Regular travel between multiple HRH Health System locations

Qualifications โ€“ REQUIRED:

  • 0โ€“2 years of ancillary or healthcare operations experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Qualifications โ€“ PREFERRED:

  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in ancillary services environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience supporting outpatient practices.
  • EMR/LIS troubleshooting experience

Our Data Entry will:

  • Review documentation for Accuracy and Completeness. Interact with Client Support and Vendors to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Accession, label, sort, and prioritize high-volume specimens.
  • Perform centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, and preparation for transport.
  • Review requisitions and EMR orders; resolve test discrepancies.
  • Maintain chain of custody and follow biosafety protocols.
  • Complete required shift logs and documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for provider offices needing assistance with orders, workflows, or specimen issues.
  • Provide on-site support during onboarding and workflow transitions.
  • Assist ancillary and ambulatory teams with escalations, supply issues, and courier coordination.
  • Conduct on-site audits for compliance with protocols and SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot EMR/LIS issues with IT support.
  • Collaborate with Ancillary Teams, Clinical Teams, Revenue Cycle Management, Vendors, phlebotomy, couriers, customer service, and technical departments.
  • Escalate workflow or turnaround time concerns.
  • Monitor supply levels and prepare kits for field teams.
  • Support training and cross-training initiatives.
  • Participate in process audits and quality improvements.
  • Provide cross-coverage across Processing, Client Services, Logistics, and administrative areas.
  • Perform ad hoc duties to support patient care, compliance, and operations.
  • Perform venipuncture and collection services from time to time as needed.
