Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and now, North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our fourteenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio-spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.
Monday Night Brewing is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our tight knit, growing team in our pizza kitchen. Reports to:

High-Level Goals:
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management of kitchen staff
  • Creating a fresh, appealing food menu
  • Cultivate catering menu and execution with Kitchen Operations Manager
  • Ordering food and supply inventory
  • Efficient kitchen production

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure employees follow all company and food safety/service policies
  • Create staff schedule and adherence to hours budget
  • Create and execute the menu to the highest standard
  • Ensures freshness, maximizes sales, and minimizes waste by planning and ensuring proper food production
  • Ensure compliance with recipe cards, cooking methods, portion definitions, plate presentation and quality standards
  • Ensure correct temperatures and understanding correct methods for holding and reheating
  • Ensure food is prepared and delivered within specified times
  • Order food and supply inventory
  • Responsible for food costs
  • Develop effective relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure storage areas are organized, cleaned, and with all food labeled
  • Utilize FIFO inventory method for food and supply inventory
  • Responsible for efficient kitchen production
  • Ensure line stations are cleaned and stocked with sufficient levels of food products & supplies to ensure smooth service periods
  • Implement shift checklists and monitor completion in person and via the BOH slack channel
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all kitchen equipment in alignment with manufacturer's specifications
  • Train all staff on the kitchen equipment for safety, sanitation and maintenance
  • Hold standard of accountability across the kitchen staff utilizing Monday Night Brewing's documentation tools
  • Work with Garage management and follow Runs of Show from Private Events management to meet catering needs for various types of events
  • Balance successful day-to-day operations of public side pizza kitchen and successful catering orders for Private Events
  • Ensure menu ideation aligns with Monday Night Brewing goals and client needs.
  • Support the team in person during high-volume shifts and events, working nights and weekends as needed to accomplish this.
  • Ensure quality of final presentation and achieving order times.
  • Learn, use, and check Monday Night Brewing's communication platform consistently - Slack.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 21+
  • Minimum of 2 years' kitchen supervisory experience in fast-paced environment
  • Dynamic, action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to lead and develop people
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with a hospitality mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests
  • Ability to comprehend and react to financial performance in operations, basic math skills
  • Knowledge of physical inventory methods and food ordering processes
  • Knowledge of staff scheduling and managing an hours budget
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexible working schedule, primarily weekends and evenings
  • ServSafe certified
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in hot, wet, humid and loud environments. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
  • Uses repetitive motions
  • Can work in both hot and cold temperatures

Compensation:
  • $60-70k annually, based on experience
