Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a taproom in Birmingham, AL, a taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our fourteenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.

Monday Night Brewing is seeking a full-time General Manager to join and lead our growing team and operate the bar at Monday Night's The Grove (Atlanta, GA). This role will be responsible for demonstrating top-notch hospitality, ensuring the taproom is running smoothly, and going above and beyond to make the guests' Monday Night experience memorable and comfortable.

High-Level Goals:

  • Successfully operate Atlanta-based taproom, Monday Night Garage by
    • Overseeing scheduling of all staff
    • Hiring team members to fill operation needs
    • Developing leadership team members in FOH and BOH operations
    • Setting up systems and processes to facilitate smooth operations
  • Maximize and grow taproom profitability (food, alcohol, merchandise and private events) and profit, with adherence to overall P&L budget goals.
  • Manage multi-unit operations: Chandelier Room, Catering Kitchen, Kitchen, Courtyard, Main Bar / Taproom, Orchard, VIP areas
  • Build, inspire and effectively lead a high-functioning Taproom team that reflects the marketplace and our core values.
  • Develop and nurture a culture of teamwork and accountability, where guest experience is a priority.

Responsibilities include:

People

  • With support from the People Operations Manager, and Regional Director of Hospitality, oversee all hiring and onboarding of taproom staff.
  • Recruit, hire, lead and develop an engaged team, with a focus on hospitality, education, urgency and ownership. Build and maintain a culture that Monday Night Brewing is proud of.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with company policy and taproom regulations.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local food, alcohol, and employment regulations.

Operations

  • Achieve revenue targets and adhere to expense and capital expenditures budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all taproom Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and develop new SOPs as needed to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Analyze and report timely KPIs. Identify challenges and/or opportunities and act upon them.
  • Develop and implement programming and incentives to drive sales.
  • Develop community engagement strategies that foster and deepen relationships.
  • Ensure administrative responsibilities are performed accurately and on deadline.
  • Direct ongoing and emergency maintenance and upkeep of the taproom, including cleaning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, furniture, dcor, draft lines, cooler and other equipment.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Regional Director of Hospitality on beer releases, cocktail rollouts, events, programming and hosting retail and distributor partners in taproom.
  • Work with Private Events management to successfully staff and operate private events in the various private events spaces within the taproom
  • Oversee booking and cleaning schedules for Hop Lodge rentals and Monday Night Camp
  • Promptly address guest concerns and complaints.
  • Ensure all promotional offers meet regulatory requirements.
  • Fully manage staff and all operations for both public and private events.

Compensation:

  • $68k - 75k annually + bonus

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+
  • Prior craft beer or barbacking or expediting experience preferred
  • Team player that is self-motivated, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and guests with a hospitality mindset
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn about beer and share that knowledge with others
  • Proactively looking for ways to improve guest experience in a positive way
  • Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed
  • Flexible work schedule, primarily weekends, some holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to work at least 3 weekends a month
  • Ability to demonstrate Monday Night values

Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.

Must be able to use repetitive motions and work in hot and cold environments
