Job description

The Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist - (NICU RRT - I), functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The NICU RRT-I will be responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education and communication as it pertains to the patients and processes in the Level III NICU. The NICU RRT-I will provide neonatal airway management, including intubation with assistance, resuscitation and stabilization for all high-risk deliveries.

The NICU RRT-I must interface with all members of the neonatal health care team. The NICU RRT-I is expected to provide an exceptional patient experience for our babies and their families. The NICU RRT-I is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: Type of degree: Applied Science or the Equivalent Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) BLS NRP within 30 days.
