Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a children's hospital requiring 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH RRT license.

Details
  • Work in the NICU/RRT unit of a children's teaching hospital
  • Neonatal and pediatric critical care patient population
  • Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Floating to other units is required depending on assignment needs
Requirements
  • Active OH state RRT license required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillator
  • Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including nasal CPAP/BiPAP and oscillating ventilators
  • Experience with airway management including intubation assist, suctioning, and tracheostomy care/management
  • Experience with medication delivery systems including MDI, nebulizer, and aerosol setups
  • Experience with Nitric Oxide (iNO) medication administration
  • 2 professional references required, at least 1 from a supervisor or manager
Additional Information
  • Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU
  • Perform airway management, ventilator management, and medication delivery for patients
  • Be prepared to float to different units based on facility needs
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
  • No local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered for this position
