We deliver high-quality, reliable work for highway, commercial and residential projects across the region. We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions while also overseeing daily office operations.
Position Overview
This hands-on role combines strong accounting leadership with office management responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and ensuring smooth administrative operations in our multi-entity construction business.
Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Manage job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Support external audits, tax preparation, and banking relationships.
Office Management

  • Oversee daily office operations and administrative support.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, facilities, and vendor relationships.
  • Supervise administrative staff and coordinate office procedures.
  • Handle HR administrative tasks including onboarding paperwork, benefits support, and record maintenance.
  • Provide administrative support to project teams and field operations.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Required: Experience with job costing and WIP schedules in a project-based environment.
  • Required: Comfort managing accounting for multiple entities.
  • Required: Prior office management or administrative leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Preferred: Construction industry experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar construction systems) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
