Job description

Position Overview:

This part-time seasonal position will assist the Washington Capitals Radio Network and public relations department. Game Night Staff will assist with duties during Capitals preseason, regular season and playoff home games throughout the 2026-27 season.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with posting game audio to Capitals Radio Network social channels.
  • Post audio clips on social channel's pregame, including head coach and player interviews.
  • Assist with collecting game night information around the NHL for Radio Host.
  • Assist with collecting in-game stats and analytics for PxP broadcast and Radio Host.
  • Deliver on-air including to both intermission broadcasts and Capitals Radio podcasts with player and game reports.
  • Collect audio sound from both home and visiting locker rooms postgame.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Previous journalism, radio, public relations or communications experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Hard working, detail oriented and results driven.
  • Strong leadership skills; a great teammate who enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Flexibility to work at least 90% of Capitals home games (typical game night hours: 5:30-10:30 p.m.).
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
