Nature of Work

This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions under the guidance and supervision of the Accounting Manager. The primary role of the Staff Accountant II will focus on timely and accurate month-end close, maintaining account reconciliations, internal reporting, inventory, and various other projects.

Examples of work performed
  • Record and document the movement of inventoried items and perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts (at least annually in CA).
  • Administer the revenue recognition process including deferred revenue reconciliations.
  • Record monthly journal entries and accurately reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee cash receipts and the payment application process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting for state sales tax returns.
  • Maintain fixed assets subledger.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the sales and administrative teams.
  • Manage the collection of cash on bulk-sale contracts with varying contract terms.
  • Record monthly accruals and other projects in conjunction with the financial statements.
  • Complete ad-hoc requests as necessary.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 Years of experience with general ledger accounting (or public accounting).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a must.
  • Experience with automation tools is a plus (Macros, Power Automate, AI)
  • CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation is a plus.
Compensation

Based on qualifications and experience.

Base Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000
