VARSITY GOLF COACH - STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL
OVERVIEW
  • Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Golf program
  • Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere
  • Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Golf program to the parents and community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ABILITY TO:
  • Work cooperatively with the athletic director and head coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS and CMS Golf
  • Motivate and connect with our student athletes
  • Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12
  • Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes
  • Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive golf program
  • Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes

KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • High School Soccer and the complexities of the game/events
  • Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
  • Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes
  • Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes
  • Superior organizational skills

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training
  • NFHS and NHIAA coaching requirements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
