Marzilli & Company is an award-winning professional landscape firm that builds and maintains ultra high-end residential landscapes in the Greater Boston, Cape and Islands, Coastal Maine/NH, and Rhode Island/Eastern Connecticut areas. We are looking for an experienced mason with a specialty in construction of highly detailed, architecturally complex chimneys and fireplaces.

Qualifications:

Crew leaders require 3 year minimum of crew supervisory experience

  • Must have knowledge and experience in building and reconstructing fireplaces from start to finish including, but not limited to: superstructures, hearths, fire boxes, flu's, chimney caps and natural stone veneers

  • Knowledge of flat and vertical masonry, including layout is preferred

  • Competent in erecting and dismantling scaffolding

  • Experience planning and ordering necessary materials for jobs

  • Leader must understand state codes regarding fireplaces and structures

  • Strong understanding of residential construction framing, flashing, and waterproofing

  • Must have ability to read plans, perform take offs for materials and layout

  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders including General Contractor, Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Crew

  • Ability to lead and mentor crew members

  • Ability to stay productive while coordinating with site superintendents and multiple trades

  • Ability and licensing to drive non-CDL trucks and trailers

  • Reliability a must

  • Experience with maintaining a safe work environment including jobsite cleanliness, PPE, and safety related practices related to masonry work

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

  • DOT certification is required for this role

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions

  • Good physical condition with an ability to lift over 40lbs
