E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Cloud Developer to join our team in Charlottesville, VA in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). NGIC is the Defense Department's primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.  


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Making tasks repeatable and efficient across multiple environments requires Infrastructure as Code (IAC), scripting, and sometimes writing applications.  
  • Provide a good understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, containerization, and networking to make new cloud capabilities available in secure environments. 

Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications:  

  • HS diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience with software engineering, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with software engineering 
  •  Must have an IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security + CE and a cloud service provider certification
  • Live within a 120-mile radius of NGIC and have the Ability to travel to NGIC 2 times per month
  • 7+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining systems in an enterprise-scale secure environment using Linux and Microsoft platforms 
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps and cloud engineering using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform or CloudFormation, including hands-on development in GCP 
  • 2+ years of experience using Golang, Python, SQL, Scala, or Java 
  • 2+ years of experience with system hardening or STIGs, Configuration-as-Code using Ansible, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) 
  • 2+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy applications and infrastructure 
  • 2+ years of experience with networking, DNS, routing and switching, and troubleshooting 
  • 2+ years of experience with containerization or orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker and Helm charts 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. 
  • Experience with disaster recovery services and concepts 
  • Experience with GitLab, including automating DevSecOps pipeline processes in GitLab 
  • Experience with migration of applications to the cloud 
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and deliver to project deadlines.
