Job description

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking Direct Care Staff for our Champy Lane adult services program located in Methuen, MA
This program serves adults diagnosed with acquired brain injuries (ABI) or other medical conditions. Residents are referred to the program after spending time in long-term care facilities. The program offers residents a full range of services including direct care, assistance with activities of daily living, recreational opportunities, individual support, transportation, and coordination of medical needs and services. The goal of the program is to enable adults with acquired brain injuries to live in a less restrictive setting within the community of their choice.
Direct Care Staff provide active treatment, training and support services to individuals with disabilities served in the program facility.
Position: Part-Time and/or Relief
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule:
  • Sunday: 3pm - 11pm
  • Monday -Thursday: 8am - 4 pm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administering medication
  • Providing personal care
  • Handling laundry
  • Performing cleaning duties
  • Managing trash disposal
  • Transportation responsibilities (including driving the van and escorting clients on outings in the community)

Job Requirements:
  • Two years' experience working with similar population preferred.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone and in a team atmosphere.
  • Current MAP certification preferred. If the candidate is not currently MAP certified and accepts the position, they will be expected to obtain the MAP certification within the first several months of employment.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
