Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our client's anesthesia team in East Chicago, IN. About the Job
This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call rotation for nights and weekends. The CRNA will function as a key member of the anesthesia team, preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patient responses throughout procedures. The position requires flexibility to handle diverse surgical cases and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow clinical protocols are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia to patients, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment.
  • Assess patients' health status and medical history prior to procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Monitor patient responses to anesthesia and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications:
  • Active registered nurse license in Indiana.
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs).
  • Certification as a nurse anesthetist by the NBCRNA.
  • Experience in anesthesia administration across multiple patient populations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, medications, and clinical protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
