Job description

Cornerstone Students helps middle and high school students live out the mission of Helping People Know Jesus and Make Him Known by equipping volunteers to build relationships and disciple students across multiple campuses.
As the Cornerstone Students Campus Coordinator for Heritage Hill and South Wyoming, you will support and strengthen volunteer-led ministry by providing relational presence, coordinating events and logistics, and ensuring weekly environments are prepared and aligned. You will use your organizational and relational skills to help leaders succeed, remove barriers to ministry, and contribute to the health and growth of Cornerstone Students.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

PROVIDE SUPPORT & COORDINATION FOR VOLUNTEER-LED MINISTRY
  • Build and maintain relationships with student ministry volunteers at Heritage Hill and South Wyoming
  • Support volunteers in preparation for weekly ministry gatherings
  • Communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure clarity around roles, schedules, and expectations
  • Help ensure volunteers feel informed, supported, and equipped for ministry
  • Assist in fostering shared ownership among volunteer teams
  • Encourage collaboration and communication within volunteer teams
  • Support the Student Ministry Lead in reinforcing ministry vision and practices

COORDINATE EVENTS AND MINISTRY LOGISTICS
  • Assist in planning and execution of student ministry events at both campuses
  • Coordinate logistics including scheduling, space reservations, supplies, and communication
  • Help move event ideas from planning to implementation
  • Partner with NextGen Admin and Communications team for event promotion
  • Track event details and ensure follow-through on all planning elements
  • Provide on-site support during events as needed

MAINTAIN WEEKLY MINISTRY READINESS
  • Prepare and organize materials and environments for weekly student ministry gatherings
  • Ensure teaching materials, supplies, and spaces are ready prior to gatherings
  • Maintain organization of ministry spaces and resources
  • Coordinate slides, announcements, and other weekly content as needed
  • Identify and address logistical or organizational needs proactively

PROVIDE RELATIONAL PRESENCE AT CAMPUSES
  • Attend student ministry gatherings regularly at Heritage Hill and South Wyoming, typically two gatherings per month at each campus
  • Support occasional midweek gatherings and events
  • Build relationships with students and volunteers
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming and engaging ministry environment
WORK WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL PARTNERS
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Student Ministry Lead
  • Participate in weekly meetings with NextGen team
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings/gatherings
  • Recruit & work with Lay Volunteer leaders
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Must know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
  • Must be a regular attendee of Cornerstone Church
  • Willing to commit to supporting Gods work at Cornerstone through prayerfully considered financial generosity
  • Passion for God and students
  • Terrific people skills with an ability to inspire volunteer leaders
  • Possess a willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be detail-oriented, and flexible
  • Good written and verbal communication skills via phone and in person
  • Possess basic proficiency in Windows software, internet and a willingness to learn new applications
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regular standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pulling
  • Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English
  • Required to talk and hear
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to use fine motor hand functions
  • Able to be physically in the office one day per week

Experience preferred in ministry, administration, communications, or related field.
