Purpose:

The Warehouse Coordinator oversees daily operations in the shipping warehouse, managing both inbound and outbound finished goods and packaging materials to ensure safe, accurate and efficient product flow.  This role serves as the key link between floor operations and management - maintaining shipping schedules, verifying inventory accuracy and supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods
  • Lead, train, coach and schedule a team of warehouse operators, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP for inventory movement, order fulfillment and material traceability
  • Partner with Inventory Control, Production and Customer Service to align shipping priorities and resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee dock operations, ensuing loads are staged, inspected and verified before dispatch
  • Track daily metrics for order accuracy, loading efficiency and carrier performance
  • Support monthly cycle counts and contribute to warehouse audits as needed
  • Promote housekeeping, organization and equipment care in compliance with food safety and GMP standards
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for logistics partners and carriers
  • Train the trainer on warehouse powered industrial trucks and tools
  • All other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma and/or GED
  • Forklift certification may be required
  • 1 - 2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.  Forklift license and experience preferred
  • Experience in a fast moving packaging goods environment, powdered or beverage production experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, ability to stand, sit, move, squat, walk and climb repeatedly during shift
  • Valid drivers license, ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, ERP and WMS
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and communicate effectively across departments
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, critical thinking and a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with GMP, FIFO/FEFO, and other food-industry best practices required
