Summary:Performs a wide variety of engineering tasks to establish and control methods manufacture of machined aerospace components and assemblies. Reviews and analyzes customer engineering data, and associated specifications, to identify the manufacturing methods essential for the fabrication and assembly of complex aerospace components. Coordinates with customers to resolve engineering technical issues discovered during engineering review. Maintains internal procedures to ensure and sustain product configuration integrity. Generates manufacturing work instructions and prepares bills of material (BOMs) to support the fabrication, processing and assembly of complex Aerospace products. Analyzes discrepant or damaged products, in accordance with internal nonconformance reports and /or customer dispositions and issues applicable rework/repair instructions. Identifies preventative and corrective actions, necessary for future production.This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safety: Develop and support safe work environments (both in the shop and the office)Analyze new and revised customer engineering data to manage product configurationSupport new product introduction (NPI) process through NPI and NRE team participationSupports product configuration control through “change board” team participationCoordinates engineering data conflicts via customer web-based discrepancy reporting systemsPrints engineering data packages and provides to Quality assurance for control and release to shopGenerates detailed step-by-step work instructions for manufacturing of complex machined details and assemblies.
