New Product Introduction (NPI) Specialist
This role is responsible for ensuring continuous supply of pre-production &engineering materials to support customer demands.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for initial procurement of materials and assembly ofengineering samples and raw stock builds.
  • Manages inventory of raw materials, finished goods, prototype samples,allocation and shipment of customer samples including EVMs and conversion ofraw stock builds to production.
  • Ensures pricing is consistent with the quoted price and continuously drivescreative solutions to reduce assembly cost, i.e. minimize the number of splitsper build and ensure purchase transactions are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Monitors engineering builds, WIP and backlog and performs analysis toproactively identify potential material shortages and carry-out solutions.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders and participate in projects with teammeetings to ensure effective communication of complex situations bothinternally and externally.
  • Works with engineering teams to define Bill of Material product structure andManage integrity of BOM and ensures work instructions are clear and concise.
  • Working globally with contract manufacturers and suppliers to facilitateissuance of build instructions and takes appropriate actions and manageday-to-day build schedules.
  • Works with the Product Line Managers (PLM) on allocation of engineeringsamples.
  • Accountable for on time delivery to customers
  • Represents NPI Planning in team meetings and has the ability to communicatewith all level of management and works independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Liaison between the operations planning team and the business unit team
  • Supports customer calls with an understand of material requirements

Education and Skills Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience, bachelor's degree required, business or related fieldpreferred.
  • Experience with SAP - ERP module.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in completing analysis work inExcel and skill in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity.
  • A team player that has a high level of flexibility and will work toward commongoals inter-departmentally and across functions.
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking, with the ability to work in afast-paced setting and manage assignments with tight deadlines from multipleengineering sources

The Hourly Range for this position is $19- $45 perhour. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors,including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience,education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
