Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP / SLP-CF)

Boston, MA

Full-Time | School-Based

7:30 AM - 2:30 PM | 4 Days per Week

School Setting - Grades K-4

Elementary Students - Grades K-4


About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP / SLP-Clinical Fellow) to support elementary students from diverse and multicultural backgrounds. This role focuses on providing assessment, consultation, and direct therapy services to students with educationally significant communication needs, ensuring equitable access to academic instruction and social development.


Key ResponsibilitiesScreening, Assessment & Consultation
  • Serve as part of the school-based support and wellness team

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations

  • Administer formal and informal assessments

  • Maintain organized documentation and student data

  • Prepare evaluation reports and explain results clearly to families

  • Ensure compliance with a 45-day evaluation timeline

Therapy & IEP Services
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions as outlined in IEPs

  • Develop measurable and student-centered IEP goals and objectives

  • Participate in IEP meetings and annual reviews

  • Prepare progress reports every 9 weeks

Collaboration & Family Engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support inclusive classroom practices

  • Provide classroom observations, consultation, and staff education

  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with families and caregivers

Professional Development & Compliance
  • Stay current with federal and state regulations

  • Maintain licensure and certifications

  • Participate in professional development activities


Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field

  • Must hold Massachusetts DESE licensure as SLP or SLP-Clinical Fellow (CF)

  • Current Massachusetts State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • CCC-SLP preferred (not required for CF candidates)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred (strong CF candidates encouraged to apply)

  • Prior school-based or pediatric clinical experience preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Proficiency with Google Suite and basic computer applications

  • Ability to pass criminal background checks


Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to move throughout classrooms and school environments

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs

  • Ability to assist in emergency behavioral situations

  • Manual dexterity to operate computers and office equipment
