To thrive as a New Grad Software Engineer, you need a solid understanding of programming fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures, usually supported by a computer science degree or related field. Familiarity with common coding languages (such as Java, Python, or C++), version control systems like Git, and basic software development tools is typically expected. Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, teamwork, and effective communication help new engineers excel in dynamic team environments.
