Job description

Hourly pay range: $48.51 min. - $76.93 max.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all
other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a population based approach to determine patient needs.
Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.
1-2 years of Labor & Delivery experience highly desired.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
2. Experience and/or training in leadership preferred, if acting as charge nurse
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
2. Current BLS (American Heart) certificate required.
3. Current NRP required.
4. Current ACLS (American Heart) required.
5. Basic Fetal Monitoring required or Introduction to Fetal Monitoring required upon hire or within 3 month of hire for new grad RN's or RN's with no Labor & Delivery experience.
6. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required, cert accepted upon hire or to be completed within 9 months of hire. (Intermediate not required once Advanced Feteal Monitoring is received).
7. Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of employment and then maintained Q2 years.
