Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Procedural Periop, you will provide high-quality, skilled nursing services essential for assisting patients to achieve optimum health, functional status, and safe passage through invasive or interventional procedures during episodic or series of visits. You will leverage your expertise across multiple dimensions of nursing practice, driven by the unique and often complex needs of each patient, ensuring optimal outcomes through effective nurse and patient synergies.
Every day you will utilize the nursing process through skilled assessment, triage, education, collaboration, and coordination of healthcare and community resources to support patients in achieving an optimal level of wellness throughout their procedural experience. 
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate clinical proficiency in procedural and potentially Periop/PACU environments. You will exhibit exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills, coupled with a deep understanding of patient needs across the health-to-illness continuum, and a commitment to providing patient-centered, safe, and effective care.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Current Washington state licensure as an RN

  • CPR certification is required every two (2) years

  • ACLS

  • PALS (depending on location)

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

  • Completion of related residency program with minimum two (2) years of experience in area of care (OR, PACU)

  • Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records

Preferred

  • Minimuminimume (1) year experience in GI specialty
  • Certification in related areas of care, such as OR, PACU
