RN Resident - Progressive Surgical Unit
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and ambitious RN Resident to join our partner, a leading medical center in Richland, WA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly licensed nurse to begin their career in a supportive and challenging Progressive Surgical Unit. As a valued member of the team, you will receive up to a $12,000 hiring bonus for eligible candidates who meet all conditions for payment.
Position Overview
This RN residency program is specifically designed to provide a structured transition for newly licensed nurses with 12 months of experience or less. You will gain hands-on experience and professional development in a fast-paced environment. The residency will prepare you to provide high-quality care to patients with complex surgical needs, and you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of conditions and collaborate with a seasoned team of healthcare professionals.
Available Shifts & Responsibilities
  • Work Status:
    • 36 hours per week, 12-hour, Variable Shifts
    • 24 hours per week, 12-hour, Variable Shifts
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide direct and compassionate patient care in the Progressive Surgical Unit.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
    • Participate actively in the residency program's curriculum, including learning sessions and skills training.
Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
    • A Washington Registered Nurse License is required upon hire.
    • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
    • You must be newly licensed with 12 months of experience or less.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
