About this opportunity

Cenovus's New Grad Program aims to attract, develop and retain exceptional new grads to build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus's varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business need and relocation may be required.As a New Grad, Information Technology, you may get exposure to:

  • Upstream Data & IT

  • Downstream Data & IT

  • Corporate Data & IT

  • Enterprise Data & IT

  • Information & Cyber Security

  • Data & IT Shared Services

  • Strategy & PerformanceData Governance

What you'll do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Responding to user/client inquiries and analyzing demand

  • Define, document, and validate requirements from users

  • Ad-hoc report creation and troubleshooting analysis

  • Assist senior personnel in preparing documents, graphs and status reports using tools such as excel and ServiceNow

  • Provide analytical support and help craft various solutions for the business and different client groups

  • Provide benchmarking reporting and industry intelligence

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Available to begin work June 2027

  • Must have an undergraduate Computer Science, Analytics, IT, Science, Commerce/Business or related program degree acquired by May 31, 2027 and completed within the last 2 years (2025, 20256 or 2027)

  • The Program aims to develop employees at the beginning of their careers, and as such, you must have less than 2 years of professional experience related to your discipline of study (not including co-op or student positions)

  • Strong interest in gaining exposure to different aspects of information technology
