Cenovus's New Grad Program aims to attract,developandretainexceptional newgradsto build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides newgradswith a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, fieldexposureand the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus's varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization.This role will be based on business need and relocation may berequired.

As an Engineer-in-Training at Cenovus,possible rotationscould include:

  • Development Engineering

  • Field Facility Engineering

  • Drilling, Completions & Well Servicing

  • Integrity Engineering/Technical Services

Your first rotation-and your final placement upon completion of the New Grad Program-will be at one of our Oil Sands operations: Foster Creek, Christina Lake, or Sunrise.Additionalrotations may take place in Calgary, AB, or at one of our Oil Sands operations (Foster Creek, Christina Lake, Sunrise).

Our Oil Sands sites offer full-service camp accommodations. Depending on your residence and shift schedule, bus and/or air transportation may be provided from designated departure points in select locations.

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legallyauthorizedto work in Canada

  • Available to begin workJune 2027

  • Must have an undergraduate or graduateMechanical, Chemical/Process, or Petroleum Engineering-relateddegreeobtained byMay 31,2027,and completed within the last 2 years(2025,2026,orbefore May 31,2027).

  • Mustbe eligible to register for your Engineer-in-Training designation.

  • Has less than two years of professional experience related to this discipline of study, excluding student experience.

Safety Sensitive Considerations:

Some of the EIT rotations aredeemedsafety-sensitive positions. Those positions will require you to hold a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to theappropriate Cenovuspolicies and guidelines. If selected to work in one of these locations, a driver's abstract will be requested prior to the commencement of that position. As well, if your rotation location/role isdeemedsafety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
