NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our team in Thorofare NJ/Philadelphia.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering complex design projects from concept to operational readiness. This candidate will have expertise in systems integration, reliability engineering, and compliance with industry standards, with a focus on safety, maintainability, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with Navy program offices, contractors, and technical staff to meet mission-critical objectives.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead design projects from initial concept through detailed engineering, prototyping, and field validation, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Mentor junior engineers, driving innovation in HM&E solutions, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Create technical drawings and developing supporting technical documentation packages
  • Review technical data packaged, mechanical test and quality data and the review of design, manufacturing level, and system installation engineering drawings
  • Desired skills:
    • CAE/D, SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis, any additional modeling and design process and tools
    • Working knowledge in welding and piping, materials selection, and finishing process.
    • Understanding of acquisition and systems engineering         

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Seven (7) years of professional experience.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, designing mechanical systems associated with US Navy HM&E Submarine Communication and Electromagnetic Systems.
