Job description

New Day Recovery is hiring a Resident Monitor to support our residential treatment program. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a structured environment, values accountability, and wants to play a meaningful part in helping individuals rebuild their lives.
This 2:00 - 10:00 p.m. shift provides an opportunity to create stability, safety, and support for clients in early recovery-when it matters most.
OVERVIEW
The Resident Monitor works directly with clients in early recovery-providing supervision, reinforcing expectations, and helping create a space where real progress can happen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientations
  • Provide client supervision and safety monitoring, including routine rounds
  • Encourage client engagement through structured activities and positive interaction
  • Complete accurate documentation (including daily activity notes)
  • Conduct urine drug screens and breathalyzer testing in compliance with protocols
  • Monitor client phone use and program compliance
  • Provide client transportation using company vehicles (as assigned)
  • Maintain a safe, structured environment, including lights-out and shift checks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience in behavioral health, recovery, or residential care
  • Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screen

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of addiction recovery and residential treatment environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills (documentation, Microsoft Office, EMR systems a plus)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
  • Navigate stairs in a multi-level facility
  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
