Located in Niles, Ohio, New Day Recovery and sister-organization, On Demand Counseling, offer a full continuum of care, including detox, residential treatment, outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Our experienced and caring team is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can begin their journey to recovery.
Position Overview:
Full-time night position for an Ohio Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at New Day Recovery, with variable hours. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our clients. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, supporting their journey to recovery. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of information and techniques required to interact with and treat individuals with mental health/substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a New Day Recovery team member and relate with empathy and sensitivity to staff, clients and the community.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in situations involving sensitive matters.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
  • Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.
  • Must possess and demonstrate effective organizational skills and supervisory skills.
  • Should demonstrate the empathy necessary for working with chemically dependent clients.
