U.S. Army Neurosurgeons assess, diagnose and treats surgical, neurological complications in Soldiers and their families

If you are a professional in the neurosurgery field and have the desire to use your skills to serve our nation’s heroes, a career as an Army Neurosurgeon might be the one for you.

You may have opportunities conducting research for the development of your field and consult other top specialists in neurology and neurosurgery. In addition to your research and patient care, you will attend trainings, continued education courses, seminars and conferences to develop yourself as a healthcare professional and an Army officer.

★ Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico

★ Must be eligible for board certification

★ Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship

★ Must have completed a training program in neurosurgery

★ Must be a U.S. citizen to serve Active Duty

★ Must have a permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
