Neurology Physician - Shelton, CT Organization Overview

As a non-profit institution affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and other academic partners, the facility offers a broad range of clinical services including emergency care, advanced imaging, minimally invasive surgery, and behavioral health services.

Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Neurologist to join its well-established and growing neuroscience team in Shelton, Connecticut .

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a diverse clinical practice that includes general neurology and subspecialty interests. The position emphasizes quality care, collaboration, and a patient-centered approach, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Essential Position Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive neurological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions.

  • Interpret diagnostic studies including EEG, EMG, and neuroimaging as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and rehabilitation services to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Participate in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic coverage.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

  • Promote patient education and preventive neurological health strategies.

Qualifications
  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure & Certification: Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurology; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.

  • Experience: Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates and recent residents are encouraged to apply.
