Job description


Guides the design and development of advanced network systems for large-scale enterprise, data center, or cloud-based environments, setting team strategy and collaborating with vendors and internal quality assurance (QA) teams for validation and issue resolution. Manages the development and maintenance of advanced automation frameworks for testing and operations, driving stakeholder alignment and optimizing network tasks and health monitoring. Oversees highly complex test strategies across teams, resolving critical issues through root cause analysis (RCA), leading change management processes, and ensuring compliance with governance and security standards. Enhances network health monitoring systems based on cross-team feedback, coordinates anomaly detection improvement, provides functional leadership during support rotations, and directs tools and solutions for frontline support. Defines critical milestones with project managers, mentors technical excellence, guides complex incident response and RCA, translates business priorities into executable plans, and resolves technical issues to meet networking standards. Sets reactive resolution strategies for network efficiency issues, leads collaboration for scalable solutions, and plans cross-team initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Network Design, Development, and Validation:
-Offers guidance and direction on highly complex, escalated test cases and test strategies that enhance network integrity within and across teams.
-Acts as a technical resource for test practices and strategies, driving efforts towards the development of testing protocols across teams.
-Oversees break-fix validation support and post-event root cause analysis (RCA), offering solutions to resolve critical issues and integrates lessons learned across teams.
-Identifies patterns and quantifies instances of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) items within a portfolio.
-Coordinates change management review board process across teams.
-Represents changes made by network teams at stakeholder change or review meetings.
-Leads collaboration with other stakeholder groups (e.g., engineering, quality assurance) to explain practices and procedures needed for compliance with standards prior to deployment.
-Designs and communicates governance and security requirements.
Automation and Scripting:
-Gathers cross-team feedback to improve dashboards, telemetry systems, and alerting mechanisms to monitor network health, including defining metrics, trends, and thresholds to ensure service level objectives (SLOs).
-Identifies patterns across issues and coordinates with monitoring teams to gather feedback and enhance the detection and diagnosis of network anomalies for one or more teams and multiple environments.
-Offers functional leadership on support rotations, and gathers details to develop solutions for complex investigations.
-Adapts incident response when needed and creates guidance on completing root cause investigations and creation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) items.
-Provides direction on the use of tools and solutions to support frontline support teams, improving their efficiency in responding to network failure conditions.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
-Engages with project/program managers to define critical test and deployment milestones, according to templated project plans for large, critical projects.
-Provides mentorship and fosters technical excellence and growth for team.
-Coaches others during complex customer-facing incident response and offers guidance on escalated, customer-facing root cause analysis (RCA).

-Provides direction to multiple teams on addressing complex operational and/or technical issues as well as providing guidance on analyzing complex data and/or information to identify solutions. Reviews and provides insights into unresolved or critical issues, helping the team to identify potential solutions.

-Models engaging in continuous learning to deepen expertise and stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices into strategic planning. Leverages feedback to drive personal and team skill improvements. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
