A Network Administrator II implements and maintains corporate network equipment environments for the local, wireless, and wide area network infrastructure. Implements moderate to high-risk network changes to critical functional areas while following established designs and configurations. Critical for success are professional management and communication skills. Must be able to work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Maintains the WAN, LAN, and WLAN, following change management procedures.
  • Support remote offices and jobsites for setup, connectivity, and teardown.
  • Support technical initiatives and projects.
  • Review current and emerging technologies, recommending solutions to solve business needs.
  • Technical project leader for small size projects.
  • Research and provide input into recommendations and justifies various hardware and software purchases and participates in determining hardware, software, and administrative standards and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Service Desk incidents and requests.
  • Monitor and tune network performance and monitor network availability.
  • Troubleshoot and document issues and participate in root-cause analysis of all network environments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology of similar field, 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, virtual environments, and the two latest versions of Microsoft Windows
  • Competent with configuring network switches and routers
  • Competent with network cabling standards
  • Experience in routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF

Desired Qualifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or JCNIA
  • Cisco Meraki experience
  • Experience with protocol analyzers and bandwidth utilization reports
  • Familiar with deploying VPN and IPSec tunnels
