Lead Network Engineer*This role is on-site at our Hollywood, CA work location.Job Summary

The Lead Network Engineer is a seasoned professional who provides advanced expertise for planning, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure in a global enterprise environment. The primary focus of this position is to implement and support network technology and solutions; the candidate will also be part of the larger global team, providing 24x7 network support including project management, operations, expansion, and maintenance of all equipment within the global enterprise domain.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage enterprise networking solutions with high reliability and availability
  • Introduce new networking technologies or enhance existing technologies to transform capabilities and services
  • Provide networking subject matter expertise to other teams as needed
  • Maintain technical documents for solutions and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Support Paramount's global network, IP, and related security services in and out of hours; tackle complex system and network issues and outages
  • Provide 3rd-line support of all Paramount network infrastructure
  • Perform knowledge transfer to Level 2 Engineers on new implementations
  • Serve as escalation point for Level 2 Engineers and peers
  • Work closely with the Voice Services team to ensure telecom equipment is integrated with networking infrastructure
  • Act as technical project manager by preparing project plans, interacting with other departments, and guiding IT resources as required
  • Keep all documentation (including LAN/WAN drawings and equipment lists) accurate and up to date
  • Monitor industry developments, directly or through a third party, to ensure the company is aware of emerging technologies
  • Actively participate in engineering and architecture solution peer reviews and design sessions
  • Manage vendor and third-party support and escalations
  • Work autonomously and exercise reasonable judgment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments
  • Interact closely with peers and management across all departments
QualificationsEducation & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience (required)
  • CCNP or equivalent experience (required)
  • CCNP Security or equivalent experience (required)
  • CCIE Routing and Switching (preferred)
Technical Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a large corporate IP network communications environment
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, IOS, NXOS, load balancers, SD-WAN technology, and automation
  • Knowledge of IP security implementation and multi-vendor IPS and URL filtering
  • Knowledge of Dark Fiber and CWDM/DWDM
  • Knowledge of MPLS, BGP, and Internet Exchange Peering
  • Knowledge of QoS and Multicast
  • Knowledge of Network Management and SNMP-based monitoring solutions
  • Experience with medium/large corporate network rollout and support
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise project management
  • Experience in Media, Entertainment, Broadcast, Hosting, or ISP environments
